L'Histoire du Languedoc vineyard dates back to the fifth century BC when the Greeks introduced the vine and its cultivation practices. But it is in 1531 that wines from Limoux will make history when Benedictine monks of the Abbey of St Hilaire, a neighboring town of Limoux, produced the first sparkling wine in the world ... the Blanquette de Limoux was then born. The first written mention the presence of the Blanquette de Limoux then served at the court of the lord of the region: the Sieur d'Arques. The latter was wont to quaff of Flascons of stew to celebrate his victories. Four centuries later, in 1946, highlights of this historical anecdote winemakers founders named their winery: Sieur d'Arques. This wine is the result of 25 years of research on selection terroir.C is a light wine to aramis primary white fruit like peach and pear notes and toasted brioche and worthy of the greatest wines bubble .
